Acceptable Use & Responsibility
What Rebel IPTV is, what it isn't, and the responsibilities that come with running it.
Last updated: June 2026
Rebel IPTV hosts and stores no streams. It is relay and curation infrastructure that fetches feeds at request time and ships with no channels or sources of its own.
1. What Rebel IPTV provides
Rebel IPTV is software and infrastructure: an agent you self-host that scrapes channel sources into an M3U playlist and XMLTV guide, plus an optional relay that passes feeds through for sources that are blocked in your region. The relay is pass-through only — it does not host, store, originate, or maintain a library of any audio or video content, and the software is distributed without any channels or sources preconfigured.
2. Your responsibilities
When you run Rebel IPTV, you are responsible for:
- The sources, playlists and feeds you choose to configure and access.
- Ensuring you hold the necessary rights, licences or permissions for that content.
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
- Securing your own instance, dashboard credentials and network.
3. Prohibited use
You agree not to use Rebel IPTV or any Rebel-operated infrastructure to:
- Infringe the intellectual-property or other rights of any third party.
- Access, distribute or resell content you are not authorised to.
- Break any applicable law, or facilitate others in doing so.
- Attack, overload, or abuse the network or any third-party service.
4. Copyright & abuse reports
Because Rebel IPTV hosts no content, there is no library here to take down. If you believe a Rebel-operated service is being misused, or you need to reach us regarding our own infrastructure, open an issue on our GitHub issue tracker and we will review valid reports promptly. Content carried by a self-hosted instance is controlled solely by its operator, who is the appropriate point of contact for that instance.
5. No warranty
The software and the Rebel IPTV relay are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. You use them at your own risk.
6. Not legal advice
This page describes how Rebel IPTV works and the responsibilities of those who run it. It is not legal advice. If you are unsure whether a particular use is permitted where you live, consult a qualified professional.
